How much would it cost to get a factory paint job done?

I have a white 2005 chevy colorado. I would like to get it painted black. I dont want anything special, just a normal factory paint job that comes with all new cars and trucks. How much would it cost to get a factory paint job done?
It will vary depending on where you go, I've put together an article in my blog that may help you out here:

You can maybe save a bit of money going with a singlestage, it won't be as good as base / clear but will help a bit with material costs. (I'd personally go base/clear)How much would it cost to get a factory paint job done?
Well, it all depends on how much quality, what kind of paint job, how big the paint job is, and a few other things. If you wanted a basic paint job for half the car, i'd say about $500-$1000. If you wanted a custom full body paint job, it'd probably top out at round $3000. Probably bout $750, for a good paint job. I like the color black, but it is harder to maintain then white. No matter what you buy, make sure you have a reliable painter or he might mess up your car.
i have never seen this type of thing get done the right way//that truck is painted with nothing attached/just a bunch of metal going down the line/when you try to redo its always a fiasco/close but never there//if you are going to take that truck all apart /everything off and on the ground/glass/upholstery/wiring/parts and pieces and supports off/MAYBE it might get close and thats to say the guy painting can really paint and redo with clear coat etc//
White is a much better color.

Easy to keep clean, no waxing required, a lot cooler in the summer.

$2500 for a decent paint job.
