It is 1986 redline bike which was half paint and half chrome there is chrome under the factory paint?

In this case I would try a paint stripper from a hardware store.


This is if acetone did not work.[and acetone should work]


I have seen one frame that was chromed half,then painted.The paint overlapped the chrome.[very shoddy]


Do it in a ventilated area though.


The best in this case would be to sandblast the whole thing,then acid dip it then re paint or chrome it.


But,in my opinion,only a handbuilt frame is worth that.


For example,a one of 12 skullskates custom frame.
